The Cyclones earned a set of rings by capturing the 2018 Minnesota State DII title at Bloomington on May 19-20  A relentless defense, outstanding team play, depth, and balanced scoring were the keys in four consecutive wins on the way to the crown  The 'clones opened tourney play with a 50-31 win over the Minnesota Stars-Turner team, a squad that had defeated them in their first outing of the season  The quarterfinal round found the racing out to an 11 point half time lead only to have a hot-shooting Central Lakes Thunder squad put up a 13-0 run to start the second half and take the lead  The game went back and forth until the Cyclones started to stretch the lead out at about the four minute mark  The Black and Pink used a suffocating defense which fueled transitions leading to fast break points in a 57-33 semifinal win over Crossfire.  The Cyclones had their biggest offensive output of the tournament which led to a 63-46 win over a good shooting Northern Lights team.

The title earned the Cyclones back to back State DII championships as they also won the 2017 title.
