The Cyclones concluded a successful Spring season by going 2-2 at the North Star Hoops State Tournament, June 3rd-5th.  Tournament play started Friday nite with the team getting off to a decent first half start vs #4 seed Minnesota Heat-Moberg. A back and forth first half, saw the Heat get a small run going into halftime and garnering a 34-28 lead.  The second half was all Heat as they held the Cyclones to only 9 points and finished with a 53-33 win.   As they usually do, the 'clones bounced back and this time in a big way as they raced to a 70-41 win over the Minnesota Comets North in their next game earning a spot in the Championship bracket.  The first game of Bracket play found the Cyclones paired against the #2 seed and eventual Tournament Champions, Net Gain Sports.  The boys got off to a slow start and faced a double digit deficit only a few minutes into the game but battled back and with 4 minutes remaining were only down by 4.  A late Net Gain burst extended the halftime lead to 11 and they went on to a 60-40 win.  The Cyclones continued to battle throughout the game but foul trouble and poor FT shooting hampered their chances of making a comeback.  Sunday morning's final Tournament game found the Cyclones paired against a familiar foe, DI Minnesota  The Cyclones gained revenge for their only defeat in four games to their Twin Cities foes with a strong second half performance, fueled by strong team defensive play, and battled their way to a 55-47 victory and a very respectable final Spring mark of 22-6.
